JULY is named after Julius Caesar,
the first Roman Emperor.

The stone for JULY is the
Moonstone, and the Gem the brilliant
red Ruby.
JULY 2009

July 1 starts with Uranus turning retrograde. This usually causes disruptive energy for the
week before, through the week after the exact point. This could be predictive for the whole
month, as there are eclipses, and other disruptive transits to deal with as well.

July 3 has Mercury entering moody Cancer.  Mercury operates more on the psychic level
here, and involves deep memory patterns. Not the greatest time for verbal communication.

Venus, however, enters flirtatious Gemini on the 5th, and wants to be social. It is a good
position for meeting new people, and small parties. The Mercury in Cancer energy could slow
things down a bit.

We have a Full Moon in Capricorn July 7 at 5:51a EDT. There will be a partial Lunar Eclipse,
weakening what is already the weakest Moon position in the Northern Hemisphere. For more
info check
here   The eclipse will not be visible for most of us in the USA. Capricorn
projections center around support systems, and business matters.

On July 11, Mars enters Gemini, not the greatest position for physical energy, as it can get
scattered. Verbal battles, gossip, and threats, tend to escalate during this transit. It is a good
time to watch what you say.

Mercury enters Leo July 17, the sign of the heart. With the current Mars position, one will
have to be doubly careful of speaking in a way that wounds peoples pride, even if it is the
truth.

The Cancer New Moon is July 21 at 10:35p EDT. This one will not be visible from the USA, but
is a total Solar eclipse, giving it much stronger effects. Sensitivity will be very high, and
emotional energies rather unsettled.

The Sun enters Leo on the 22nd and pushes us out of the emotional murk, and into brighter
areas.

The last main transit of the month has Venus entering the nurturing sign of Cancer on the
31st. This is a good position for the love energy to settle, and prosper.
